Mark Baumgartner joined UFICO in 2025. Prior to joining UFICO, he was the CIO at the Dalio Family Office, the Carnegie Corporation of New York, and the Institute for Advanced Study. Prior to that he served on the Ford Foundation’s investment team, and Morgan Stanley Investment Management’s institutional solutions group, and was formerly a Portfolio Manager at two hedge funds: Quantal Asset Management and Strategy Capital. Mark is currently Chairman of the Board of the mutual fund arm of The Investment Fund for Foundations, and a Trustee and Chair of the Investment Committee for the YMCA Retirement Fund. He received a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University and a BSE in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida.
